Platstation 3 Wireless Stereo Headset
It's official! Months after PlayStation made the announcement that it would be releasing a 7.1 surround sound headset gamers have anxiously awaited their arrival. I am happy to say that the wait is finally over. Today, the PlayStation 3 headset is now available to consumers for the unbelievable price of $99. The price if anything is the reason behind most of the buzz, prior to the release of the headset, the next best headset was close to the $300 range and far out of reach for the average gamers pockets. PlayStation strategic price point makes them a formidable foe, but not without some hesitations from consumers. As it stands the price point is one of the best things about the headset, but also one of the main hesitations. I can't help but wonder if the turtle beach cost of $300 and the PlayStation ones are $99, is it that turtle beach has inflated the price that much, or has PlayStation sacrificed somethings in the name of cost effectiveness. Reviews have been buzzing around from some of the bigger tech guys and as it stand the obvious sacrifices have come in the way of the structural integrity and durability of the headphones, and also the "simulated" 7.1 surround sound. But we all know how the big tech reviews can be of complete shark nature of times and the only true review will come in the way of the gamers themselves.
